our little girl changes every single day.  we saw major differences in the past few weeks.  she is such a happy VOCAL baby.  it is so much fun to be her mommy.

memorial day weekend at the lake

the whole johnston family got together for memorial day weekend - everybody except for pat :(  we missed him a ton, but had a great visit with abbi and pops and laurel's aunts, uncles, and cousins

my country, tis of thee....

oxford

laurel and i went over to oxford on wednesday night to see some good friends we never get to see.  i loved introducing our little girl to everyone!

johnny and ev fed us a yummy dinner.  thank you barretts!

it's official - pat and laurel and apache and i are moving to hattiesburg, ms, in july.  the air force is sending pat to get his masters in history at the university of southern mississippi so that he can then go teach at his alma mater, the air force academy in colorado springs, co.  we are sad to be leaving charleston, but so excited to begin this new chapter.

wes and marion curry live in hattiesburg and have just welcomed baby boy burn into their family.  this picture was taken when they came to visit charleston in january.  we are pumped to get to live in the same town.

we have been so blessed!

laurel is SO social and curious.  if there are people around, she is alert and studying everyone.  the minute we got in the car to drive back to tupelo, it was lights out.  what a fun day!

we spent some busy days in tupelo a few weeks ago

after gloria gave mommy a much-needed massage, it was my turn on the table.  i LOVE to be massaged!

then we went to maury and lucy's dance recital dress rehearsal.  maybe one day i'll get to wear a pretty costume like this!
